When you submit your case for Form Aligners, ArchForm will handle the aligner fabrication process for you. The aligners will be shipped to your office individually packaged and labeled, with a case, ready to be delivered to your patient. The time frame for these aligners to be delivered is 2 weeks after we receive the case. Below addresses how to submit for Form Aligners on an Orthodontic Setup, as well as how to submit for Form Aligners on a Self Setup.
How to submit for Form Aligners on an Orthodontic Setup
- To start, click on New Patient from any category view in the Dashboard. Enter the patient's details, such as their name, age, and gender.
- For Product, select the 'Comprehensive Aligner Packages' and select which Form Aligner package option you would like.
- You can now upload the patient's .stl files, photos, and x-rays. All patients submitted to ArchForm for alignment must include photos. To upload a file, click on the corresponding icon for the file you want to upload and use the pop-up window to navigate to and select the file. Repeat this for all files.
- Clinical Conditions and Preferences allow you to prescribe how you want your patient's treatment plan created. You can set parameters on things such as IPR and attachments. Any additional information that you would like to provide that does not fit into the prescription fields can be written in the Notes section of Preferences III.
- When you have filled out all the necessary information, you can click Submit.
The patient remains in Unprocessed until the orthodontist or technician begins working on the patient. From there, the patient moves into Planning while the treatment plan is gets created. When it is ready for your approval, a notification alerts you that the case is in Needs Review. You can review the treatment plan by clicking Open in ArchForm or the Web Viewer.
- If you are ready to approve the work, click Accept Setup.
- If you would like changes made to the patient, click Setup Needs Changes, write in your requests, and click Ok.
Once the setup is approved, ArchForm will be notified to begin working on manufacturing the aligners. The time frame for these aligners to be delivered is 2 weeks after we receive the case.
Please note - the only way for our factory team to receive the case is if you 'Accept' the setup.
How to submit for Form Aligners on a Self Setup
- To start, click on New Patient from any category view in the Dashboard. Enter the patient's details, such as their name, age, and gender.
- For Product, select Self Setup under the Form Aligners section.
- You can now upload the patient's .stl files any other information you would like to include. Once finished you can click Submit. Please note ArchForm software works best with unaltered scan files, directly from your scanner. If the scan files are already pre-edited and hollowed using another software, we might not be able to manufacture the case.
- Once you are in the patient record in the Dashboard you can open the case in ArchForm by clicking Open in ArchForm and begin treatment planning the case. Once you have finished treatment planning your setup be sure to click the Upload button in the bottom right corner of the treatment planning software. This will save your setup to the Dashboard. Once uploaded you will be able to see this setup in the files section on the Dashboard in the Patient Record.
- You will need to change the status of the case to 'Accepted' on the Dashboard. This will notify ArchForm to begin fabricating the aligners.
Please note - the only way for our factory team to receive the case is if you 'Accept' the setup.
