Stage parameters

What stage parameters are and how to use them to adjust the number of aligners

Stage parameters determine the total number of aligners for a treatment plan, or how fast or slow the aligners move the teeth. A new stage generates when the movement exceeds one of the parameters.

The default stage parameters are:

Left/Right, In/Out: 0.25mm

Down, Up/Intrusion: 0.15mm

Root tip, torque, rotation: 2 degrees

These can be adjusted in the settings. To change a parameter, select the parameter for the movement you wish to adjust and type in the new amount. Distances are measured in millimeters while rotation is in degrees. Any adjustments made to stage parameters prompts the software to recalculate the total number of aligners immediately.
