Refinement

Refinements allow you to adjust your patient's treatment plan partway through treatment. Refinement scans can be added to a patient record via the Dashboard. To begin, use the Dashboard to find the patient you wish to create a refinement for.

Click on Create Refinement on the right side of the screen. A pop-up window will appear and prompt you to upload the upper and lower refinement scans.

Note: Both upper and lower scans are required to proceed.

Once you have uploaded the refinement scans, click on Files in the patient record, and then click Open in ArchForm under the Refinements section.

The treatment planning software will open and load the refinement scans that you just uploaded.

If this does not work please try opening the refinement from the files section.

You can proceed with the treatment plan as normal.

Another option for cases you are doing self-setup on is to add the scan files directly into the treatment planning software by creating a new patient. Make sure to keep the same patient name and but add the word "refinement" to the last, to help keep it straight that this is a refinement case, as well as to ensure you are not charged again.

Note: Both upper and lower scans and updated photos are required for refinement case submissions.
