Staging parameters determine the total number of aligners for a treatment plan, or how fast or slow the aligners move the teeth. A new stage generates when the movement exceeds one of the parameters.
The default staging parameters are:
Mesial/Distal, Buccal/Lingual: 0.20
Extrusion/Intrusion: 0.15
Tip, Rotation: 2.00
Torque: 1.00
These can be adjusted in the Settings/Stage. To change a parameter, select the parameter for the movement you wish to adjust and type in the new amount. Distances are measured in millimeters while rotation is in degrees. Any adjustments made to stage parameters prompt the software to recalculate the total number of aligners immediately.
To reset staging parameters to default staging parameters, click Reset to default.
