Refinements allow you to adjust your patient's treatment plan partway through treatment.

How to submit for refinement in the Dashboard

1. In the Dashboard, refinements can be created by clicking + New Order or + New Refinement.

2. Select the order type you want and submit it to ArchForm. You can choose from orthodontist alignment order, technician alignment order or self alignment order.

3. Upload scans

   Both upper and lower refinement scans are required to proceed.

4. Upload photos & X-rays

5. Complete the prescription.

6. Click Submit to place an order.

How to create refinement in the Desktop App

1. In the Desktop App, refinements can be created by clicking + Refinement.

   <aside> 💡

   Skipping upload will discard current edits. Alignment orders that never reach Ready for Review status will be archived after creating refinement.

In the Create Refinement popup window,

1. Upload both upper and lower refinement scans, and complete the prescription in the Create Refinement popup window.

2. Click the close button to cancel the creation of refinement.

   

3. After finishing creating, start scan processing for this refinement by clicking OK in the popup window to download and open the scan files.

   

How to download and open scan files for refinement

The scan files will be downloaded and opened in Desktop App after creating refinement.

If download failed, scan files for refinement can be downloaded and opened from Dashboard.
