How to start indirect bonding

  1. Click Indirect Bonding on the Tools panel to enter Indirect Bonding edit mode.
  2. Select the scope, arch, wire, and prescription in the Indirect Bonding panel.
  3. Click Run IDB Alignment and wait for the alignment result. Toggle between Original and Corrected at bottom to view the model before or after aligning teeth with indirect bonding.
  4. Click on a tooth or a bracket to edit the current IDB alignment result.
  5. Click Reset to remove the current IDB alignment result.
  6. When exiting the Indirect Bonding mode, you can choose whether to save the IDB alignment result and add it as a new goal.
    1. Save current IDB alignment results: Check to only save current IDB alignment results in the Indirect Bonding mode when exiting.
    2. Add current IDB alignment results as a new goal: Check to add current IDB alignment results as a new goal behind the current final goal when exiting.

How to edit brackets and teeth in IDB

Edit Brackets

After generating the IDB alignment result,

  1. Click on a bracket on the 3D model to open the Bracket panel, or click Bracket on the Tooth panel to switch to the Bracket panel.
  2. Switch Brackets: View the name of current bracket on the selected tooth, or change to another bracket in the dropdown menu.
  3. Bracket Height: The distance between the bracket and occlusal surface. Changing bracket height to change tooth movements in the alignment results.
  4. Open Bracket Heights Table: View and edit the height values of brackets on each tooth.
  5. Adjust the position of the selected bracket by gizmo or by clicking on the buttons at MOVEMENT section. The bracket position can be adjusted in different dimensions: Tip, Torque, Rotation, Translation.
  6. Add Bracket on the Tooth panel: Click to add a bracket on the selected tooth.
