Scan and photo requirements for submitting an alignment case
We require both upper and lower scans in .stl file format and up-to-date intraoral photos for case submissions, including refinements. XRays/CBCT when possible.
Scan Requirements
- Both upper and lower scans in .stl file format
- All teeth are fully captured in the scan
- At least 3mm of gingiva is included above the gumline
- No holes/stitching errors in scan
- No artifacts that interfere with the quality of the scan are present
- No orthodontic appliance in the scan that will interfere with treatment
- Scans in occlusion
Photo Requirements
- Intraoral: Upper occlusal, lower occlusal, front view, right lateral, left lateral
- Extraoral: Profile not smilling, full face smiling, full face not smiling
- Photos must be in JPEG or PNG file format
- All teeth are fully captured in photos
- Photos in focus
- Occlusion must be clearly visible
- Photos must be up-to-date, accurately representing the scans
Please be aware that if your case does not meet these requirements, it will be rejected, leading to delays.
