Blockout allows you to infill undercuts as the software searches for concave areas on the model and fills them in based on the amount selected.

Auto gap filling automatically adds a bar between two teeth when there is a gap of more than 3mm between them. The added bar gives the aligner more structural rigidity and makes the aligner easier to trim. This is useful when you have an extraction space or missing tooth. You can see the kind of ridge or bar that is added between the teeth in the image below.

To enable these features, go to the settings menu by clicking on the gear icon in the upper left side of the screen.

Use Auto Gap Filling: The ridge/bar will automatically be added to any gap of more than 3mm.

Use Auto Blockout: Select whether the software fills in overhang spaces when exporting models.

A: No Blockout: The software does not fill in overhang spaces when exporting models.

B: Auto Blockout: The software automatically fills in overhang spaces when exporting models.

C: Customized Blockout: Use customized blockout. Select the customized fill-in overhang spaces in Export Preview/Model Printing.

Auto Blockout Offset(mm): How much fill-in is placed in the overhang when choosing Auto Blockout.

Blockout Thickness(mm): How much fill-in is placed in the overhang when choosing Customized Blockout.

*Please note these features make exporting take longer than when it is enabled. You can turn it on and off depending on need.

Once enable the feature you’d like to use in the settings, go to export.

You can also select blockout in Export Preview/Model Printing. For the Customized blockout, you can select the areas you’d like to block out before exporting.
