How to edit attachments

Adding attachments give aligners a better grip and more control on teeth. ArchForm comes preloaded with various attachment shapes, each specifically designed to give optimal control for moving teeth.

First, select a tooth, and click Edit Attachments on the Tooth panel or on the Tools panel*.*

• Auto Attachments

  Attachments can be automatically applied by clicking Auto Attachments to teeth whose movements reaches the threshold set in the rules in the Settings/Auto Attachments.

  Click the gear icon to open the Settings/Auto Attachments.

  

• Manually add attachments

  To add an attachment manually, select a tooth and click an attachment in the Attachments/ATTACHMENT section. Different attachments can be added to the same tooth.

  

• Edit attachments

  1. To edit an attachment, select it and drag its movement widget or update values by typing in numbers or clicking on + or – in the Edit Attachment ******panel **on the right.
  2. To use a modified attachment on another tooth, select the attachment and click Copy, then use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Shit+V to paste.
  3. To remove an attachment, select the attachment and click Remove Attachment.
  4. Click Done to finalize the attachment setup.
